More About Me

About Me

As mentioned earlier, I'm Emmanuel. I wrote my first code three months after highschool in C language while I was at the University of Eldoret and a few months later, I began to learn Web Development languages and I enroled at Eldohub in Eldoret town and I began my journey as a full stack web developer. At Eldohub, I built my skills little by little from writting my first HTML code to later on using npm packages and embeded Javascript in my projects.

I have gone through a lot of challanges since I began and many at times I feel like giving up but my determination keeps me going. My journey in coding is not set to end any time soon. I am looking foward to build on my experience and skills in the years to come.

My Work

Well I find coding really exiting and for my first projects I created a BMI calculator and Rock-Paper-Scissors game [user vs PC]. Alongside these, I've also worked on a lot of other projects. Feel free to take a look at them below.

1. Rock-Paper-Scissors

JavaScript is a fun language to learn and for my first project I designed this simple game and hosted it.

2. BMI calculator

The Body Mass Index calculator was a bit tricki on my end but I made it work. It gave me a huge boost in learning more about creating HTML elements using DOM manipulation.

3. HTML-CSS-JS Stopwatch

The stopwatch is made using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript it works by using JavaScript to create a function that starts a timer when a button on the HTML page is clicked. It also has a stop and reset button.

4. To-Do manager

The To-Do manager works by having a HTML form where the user can input a new task, and a HTML list to display the existing tasks. The JavaScript handles the logic for adding a new task to the list when the form is submitted, as well as handling the logic for removing them from the list.

5. List App

The List-App works the same as the todo manager the difference between the two is that List-App uses additional tools to do the same; express and mysql database to store the tasks

6. Quiz App

The Quiz App was also a nice starting point for projects with login and log out authentification. It also deeply dealt with mysql, express, node.js to create web apps.

7. E-lEARN

Simple E-learning tool for tutors and student to access studey materials and interact with each other. This was a really fun project to work on and I want to work on it even further.
